Recruitment Overview
The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official recruitment notification for Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre for the financial year 2026-27. Eligible Indian citizens can apply online from August 11, 2026, to August 31, 2026. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only and will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the specified opted local language.

Age Limit & Age Relaxation
Reference Date for Age Calculation: As on 01.04.2026.
Age Limit: Candidates must not be below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04.2026.
Date of Birth Criteria: Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1998 and not later than 01.04.2006 (both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification (As on 31.12.2026)
Essential Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Final Year Candidates: Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2026 if provisionally selected.
Ex-Servicemen: Matriculate Ex-servicemen who have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education (or corresponding Navy/Air Force certificate) after completing not less than 15 years of service are also eligible.

Pay Scale & Salary
Pay Scale: ₹24,050 – 1340/3 – 28,070 – 1650/3 – 33,020 – 2000/4 – 41,020 – 2340/7 – 57,400 – 4400/1 – 61,800 – 2680/1 – 64,480.
Starting Basic Pay: ₹26,730/- (₹24,050/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduate recruits).
Total Starting Emoluments: Approximately ₹46,000/- per month in Metro cities like Mumbai (inclusive of DA and other allowances at current rates).
Probation Period: Minimum period of 6 months.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection process comprises three phases:
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (Online Objective Test)
Phase-II: Main Examination (Online Objective Test)
Phase-III: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)

Candidates numbering approximately 10 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Main Exam.

Bonus Marks for Trained SBI Apprentices: Eligible trained apprentices of SBI are awarded 2.5% of maximum marks (i.e., 5 marks out of 200) added to their aggregate score.
Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheets evidencing having studied the specified opted local language are exempted from the language test. Other provisionally selected candidates must pass the LLPT before joining.

Click on “Apply Online” and register as a new user to generate a provisional registration number and password.
Fill in the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and communication details.
Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and hand-written declaration strictly as per specifications.
Pay the applicable examination fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.
Submit the application and print a copy of the system-generated application form and e-receipt for future reference.
